Keith Chan is an accomplished academic and policy specialist with extensive experience in social work and health policy. As an Associate Professor at Hunter College since August 2020, Keith has contributed to various educational and research initiatives. In addition, Keith serves as a Policy Specialist for the U.S. House of Representatives, focusing on health equity for under-served communities. Key roles include Co-Investigator at the Center for Asian Health Promotion and Equity, an NIH/NIA-funded Asian RCMAR Scientist at the National Institutes of Health, and a Track Chair for the Asian and Pacific Islander track at the Council on Social Work Education. Keith has held leadership positions in multiple organizations, including Vice President of the Asian and Pacific Islander Social Work Educators Association and Council Member for the New York State Office of Mental Health. Through a strong academic background, including a PhD in Social Work from Boston College, Keith has demonstrated a commitment to addressing health disparities and promoting social welfare.
