Michael Wright has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Michael began their career at Syntex Labs Inc. in 1973, where they served as a Senior Regional Manager in State Government Affairs for over two decades. Michael then joined Hoffmann-La Roche in the same role, remaining with the company until 2009. In 2009, they transitioned to Wright Advisors as a Senior Principal. In 2012, they took on the role of Executive Director at the Texas Pharmacy Business Council. Later that year, they also assumed the position of Vice President of Government Affairs at American Pharmacies. Michael'stenure at the Texas Pharmacy Business Council ended in 2022.

Michael Wright earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of Northern Iowa from 1964 to 1969.
