Abeda K. has extensive experience in education and mental health support, serving as a Mental Health Instructor at the National Council for Behavioral Health since December 2016, and as a Chaplain at HealthCare Chaplaincy Network since September 2017. Abeda K. also holds roles as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor with the American Muslim Health Professionals, Director at New York Bangladeshi American Lions Clubs, and a Board Member at Long Island City Roots Community Garden, contributing significantly to community engagement and educational initiatives. Additionally, Abeda K. has a long-standing career in the NYC Department of Education from 1997 to 2024 as an Educator, and has served as a Teacher Leader and Trainer, focusing on professional development for educators. With a background in biology from Brooklyn College and Hunter College, Abeda K. combines expertise in mental health, education, and community service.
