Katherine Pflaumer is a marketing communications manager at the American Meteorological Society since March 2023. Previously, Katherine served as an associate at SteegeThomson Communications from January 2009 to March 2023, specializing in project management, design and production oversight, and content creation including press releases, media pitches, and articles. Earlier in Katherine's career, a role as program associate at the Ocean Research and Conservation Association involved grant writing, editing, and database management. Katherine Pflaumer holds a Master of Environmental Studies with a focus on Environmental Biology and Resource Management from the University of Pennsylvania, earned in 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Bryn Mawr College, obtained in 2008.
