Jessica LaPointe is an experienced editorial professional with a robust background in production and copy editing. Currently serving as Managing Production Editor and Managing Copy Editor at the American Meteorological Society since January 2007, Jessica has demonstrated leadership by managing a team of ten copy editors and spearheading significant updates to the in-house style guide. In their role, Jessica is the lead copy editor for the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology and has been an active member of the Council of Science Editors since 2012, serving as copy chief for the journal Science Editor. Jessica's prior experience includes positions at Adams Media and Berkshire Publishing Group, where responsibilities ranged from editing manuscripts to coordinating large-scale encyclopedia productions. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College, obtained in 2004.
