Sierra Steffen is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Third Assistant Engineer at American Maritime Officers since October 2022. Prior to this role, Sierra worked as a Production Associate at General Dynamics NASSCO from July to October 2022. Additionally, Sierra gained valuable experience as an Engine Cadet with Military Sealift Command from November 2020 to May 2021, where maintenance and repairs on auxiliary systems and main propulsion were performed, alongside learning proper watchstanding procedures. Previous experience includes another Engine Cadet position at Crowley Engineering Services from November 2019 to March 2020, focusing on the maintenance and monitoring of diesel propulsion and auxiliary systems. Sierra holds a degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, completed in 2022.
