Mary Vanessa Nartia serves as the Head of the Science Department at the American International School of Hong Kong since August 2023, leading a team focused on advancing students' understanding of sciences. Previously, Nartia was the Internal Primary and Lower Secondary Exam Coordinator and Chemistry Teacher at the International Pioneers School from August 2020 to July 2022. Additional roles included freelance positions as an Edify Teacher and Market Researcher, and Chemistry Content Specialist, alongside significant academic contributions at De La Salle University from June 2012 to April 2019 in various capacities, including Senior High School Research Coordinator and curriculum developer. Nartia holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Ecosystem Management from De La Salle University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Teaching from Philippine Normal University.
