Torben Behmer has a diverse work experience in the field of research and data analysis. Torben started their career at Princeton University in 2010 as a Research Specialist, where they focused on data science for academic research, statistical programming, and data management, analysis, and visualization. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at The University of Texas at Austin, where they initially served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, providing support in teaching research methodology in the social sciences to undergraduates. Later, they took on the role of Assistant Instructor, where they autonomously taught undergraduate classes and guided the research process of students. Currently, Torben is employed at the American Institutes for Research as a Quantitative Research Associate. In this position, they are responsible for developing and designing survey instruments, supervising data collection, conducting data integrity checks, and generating replicable analyses and visualizations for client deliverables. Torben also collaborates with subject matter experts to design and compose bids for business development purposes.
Torben Behmer completed their education in a chronological manner. Torben began their academic journey in 2004 at Hochschule Flensburg, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in International Management. This phase lasted until 2007. Following the completion of their bachelor's degree, Torben Behmer enrolled at The University of Göttingen in 2007, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Economics. Torben completed this program in 2009. Most recently, Torben Behmer attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2016 to 2021. During this time, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
