Tonie Sadler has a diverse range of work experience. They began their career as an Assistant Language Teacher in the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program from July 2008 to September 2009. They then worked as a Residential Program Administrator at the Developmental Services Center from August 2010 to July 2013, and briefly held the role of a CILA House Manager from February 2010 to August 2010 within the same organization. Tonie then transitioned to the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, where they worked as a Research Assistant from October 2013 to January 2022. They later joined Northwestern University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from August 2021 to May 2023. Currently, Tonie is employed as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, starting in April 2023.
Tonie Sadler completed their Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on Anthropology and Philosophy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. They then pursued further education at the University of Chicago, where they earned an AM/MSW degree from the School of Social Service Administration in 2015. Tonie Sadler continued their studies at the same institution, and is currently working towards a PhD in Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago.
