Ebru Erberber, PMP has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and education. From 2009 to present, they have worked as a Principal Researcher at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), where they serve as the Deputy Director of a project that provides research and technical support to the International Activities Branch at the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). In this role, Ebru manages AIR's technical assistance for the NCES in order to support the US Department of Education. Additionally, they have held the position of Senior Researcher in the Education Program at AIR since April 2012. In this role, they provide leadership on technical and substantive review and recommendations on international studies such as TIMSS, TIMSS Advanced, and TALIS. Ebru also contributes their content and technical expertise for surveys, achievement tests, background questionnaires, technical reports, dissemination materials, and conducts analyses using international datasets. Ebru has also supported the development and scoring process of science assessment questions for NAEP and PISA. Before their current positions, from September 2009 to April 2012, Ebru worked as a Senior Researcher in the International Development Program at AIR, where they provided technical leadership and support for USAID- and World Bank-funded projects in low and middle-income countries. This included involvement in the design, development, and implementation stages of monitoring and evaluation systems, as well as formative and summative assessment systems. Ebru'sresponsibilities ranged from standards development to item development, test construction, test administration, data analysis, reporting, and dissemination. Ebru has extensive experience working in countries like Pakistan, Egypt, and Namibia, and has also conducted work in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Peru. Prior to their time at AIR, Ebru worked as a Research Associate at Boston College from 2001 to 2009.
Ebru Erberber, PMP, has an extensive education history. Ebru holds a Ph.D. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation, which they obtained from Boston College between the years 2002 and 2009. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College from 1998 to 1999.
Earlier in their academic journey, Ebru attended Boğaziçi University, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from 1989 to 1993.
In addition to their academic achievements, Ebru has further enhanced their credentials by obtaining the Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute. Ebru successfully acquired this certification in November 2017.
