Nelson Royall currently serves as Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at Northeast Georgia Health System and holds multiple academic positions, including Associate Professor at Mercer University and Clinical Assistant Professor at both the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Additionally, Nelson Royall functions as a Cancer Liaison Physician and GME Core Faculty at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. Previous roles include Chair of the Cancer Committee and Director of Surgical Oncology at Hillcrest Healthcare System, as well as Medical Director for the National Pancreas Foundation, Oklahoma Chapter. Nelson Royall completed a fellowship in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery at Cleveland Clinic and earned an MD from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, following a BS in Nuclear Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida.
