Rebecca Tegtmeyer serves as the Associate Chairperson and an Associate Professor in the Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University since August 2009, focusing on areas such as interaction design, motion design, typography, user experience, and branding design. In addition to editorial responsibilities at Michigan State University, Rebecca is also a Steering Committee Member for the Design Educators Community of AIGA Design since 2019 and previously held the position of Director of Visual Interaction Design at MATRIX: The Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences from 2012 to 2016. Past roles include Education Director at AIGA Detroit and Art Director at Hallmark Cards Inc., where Rebecca contributed to various marketing and branding strategies. Rebecca holds a Master's degree in Graphic Design from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from The University of Kansas.
