David J. Ellis is an experienced editor and writer, currently serving as the Editor of The American Gardener magazine for The American Horticultural Society. Prior to this, Ellis worked as a freelance editor/writer for Publications Professionals, a reporter for Shippensburg News Chronicle, and a Physical Scientist for the U.S. Bureau of Mines. Ellis holds a BS in English and Geology from Dickinson College.
