Hector Cruz has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Currently, they serve as the Principal CEO at American Grill, where they lead a team of food innovators and contractors in various regions across the United States and globally. Prior to this role, Hector worked as a Project Manager at their own firm since 2012. In this position, they were responsible for conducting field surveys, managing a team of technicians and engineers, and overseeing project planning and execution for clients such as NYC DEP and MTA. Before starting their own firm, Hector worked as an Electrical Project Engineer at ARCADIS U.S. and as an Electrical Engineer at CHU AND GASSMAN. Hector began their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as an SGT for eight years.
Hector Cruz holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The City University of New York, which they pursued from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from DeVry University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their education, Hector Cruz has earned certifications such as being a veteran-owned business, achieved from NaVOBA in March 2022, and being certified as a NYC Minority Owned Business by the New York City Mayor's Office of Management and Budget in October 2019.
