Shawn T. Hynes is an experienced legal professional with a comprehensive background in litigation and investigations. Currently serving as Group Counsel at American Express, Shawn has previously held senior counsel positions within the same department. Prior experience includes serving as Counsel at Deutsche Bank, a Lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb, and an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Additionally, Shawn completed a judicial clerkship at the Eastern District of Pennsylvania - U.S. District Court. Shawn holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Studies and History from Duke University.
