Karl Wurst is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and management within the electrochemical industry. Since December 1987, Karl has served as President and Director of Engineering Services and Development at American Electro Products, overseeing departments including process engineering, research and development, and environmental compliance. Prior to this role, Karl was Vice President and General Manager at Harper-Leader, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed manufacturing operations and safety compliance. Notable achievements during this tenure included the establishment of a plating department and a wastewater treatment facility. Earlier in their career, Karl worked as Production Manager at Vanguard Research Associates, Inc., managing all facets of production. Karl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from Kean College, attained between 1971 and 1975.
