Wasif Qureshi has extensive work experience in the field of cardiology. Wasif started their career in 2007 as an Interventional Cardiologist and Endovascular Specialist at Delaware Cardiovascular Associates. Wasif also served as the Medical Director for Structural Heart Disease at the same organization. Currently, they hold the position of Governor and President of the American College of Cardiology for Delaware, a role they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Clinical Associate Professor at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine starting from November 2021. Their most recent role is as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, which they started in April 2022. Overall, Wasif Qureshi has consistently demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality cardiovascular care throughout their career.

Wasif Qureshi completed their O levels and A levels at Karachi Grammar School from 1978 to 1992. Wasif then attended Aga Khan University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with a specialization in the Interventional Cardiology Residency Program. Following this, they pursued a Residency in Internal Medicine at West Virginia University from 2000 to 2003. Wasif then continued their education at the same university, completing a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease from 2003 to 2006. Finally, they pursued a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at West Virginia University from 2006 to 2007.
