Ann Stroink has extensive work experience in the field of neurosurgery. Ann currently serves as the President of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) since May 2022. Prior to this position, they held the role of President and Neurosurgeon at Central Illinois Neuro Health Sciences from 1985 to September 2022.
Ann Stroink completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology, General at Illinois Wesleyan University in 1976. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, which they completed in 1979. Ann then went on to complete an Internship & Residency in Neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic, finishing in 1985. Ann Stroink furthered their education with a Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Hospital for Sick Children, which they also completed in 1985.
