Eduardo M. Ochoa is a distinguished academic leader and education advocate with extensive experience in higher education administration. Currently serving as President Emeritus at California State University, Monterey Bay since June 2012, Eduardo is also active on the Board of Directors for NC-SARA and the American Association of Colleges and Universities, as well as a trustee at Reed College. Eduardo M.'s past roles include Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education, where responsibility encompassed key programs supporting higher education. Eduardo has held various leadership positions, including Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs at Sonoma State University and Dean of the College of Business Administration at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Eduardo holds a PhD in Economics from The New School, an MS in Nuclear Science & Engineering from Columbia University, and a BA in Physics from Reed College.
