Kaiya Lyons is a highly experienced legal professional with a diverse background in civil rights and legal advocacy. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel and Senior Staff Attorney at the American Association for Justice since September 2019, Kaiya specializes in developing legal resources for plaintiffs' attorneys and producing content on emerging legal issues. Previous roles include Civil Rights Litigation Fellow at Bernabei & Kabat, PLLC, Judicial Law Clerk at the Minnesota Judicial Branch, and Law Fellow at the American Constitution Society, among other positions. Kaiya holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Minnesota Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from The George Washington University.
