Katie Schaffer has over a decade of experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as an Analyst in Technical Operations at American Airlines since July 2016. In this role, Katie performs detailed audits on Maintenance Error Log (MEL), Non-Expendable Fleet (NEF), and Technical Advisory Circular (TAC) Manuals, ensuring compliance before submissions to the FAA. Prior to this position, Katie held several roles at American Airlines, including Technical Editor in Technical Publications from 2010 to 2016, where responsibilities included editing and publishing critical maintenance manuals. Katie's educational background includes two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Language and Literature from Northeastern State University.
