John Somers has extensive work experience in the agricultural finance industry. John started their career in 1995 at American AgCredit as a Vice President, a role they held until 2007. John then joined Westpac as a Senior Business Manager for three years before returning to American AgCredit in 2010 as the Vice President of Capital Markets/Agribusiness.

John Somers obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management. John completed their studies at this institution from 1993 to 1995.
