Emma Cherry is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in crisis management and emergency services. Currently serving as a Senior Crisis Management Specialist at Ameren since April 2019, Cherry focuses on corporate plans and procedures affecting the enterprise. Previously, as the Emergency Management Director for Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency from October 2015 to January 2019, Cherry led a team in developing countywide emergency plans and overseeing recovery missions post-disasters. Cherry's expertise in emergency planning was further demonstrated during the tenure as an Emergency Planner at Lincoln County Health Department from January 2011 to September 2015, where coordination and planning improvements were prioritized across local, state, and federal organizations. Cherry's career began at Washington University in St. Louis as a Research Biologist from May 2006 to April 2011, contributing to the Infectious Disease team and producing various scientific publications. Educationally, Cherry holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Washington University in St. Louis and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Biochemistry from Drake University.
