LJ Proffitt has a diverse work experience. Laura Jane (LJ) began their career in 2016 as a Payroll Clerk at HIGROWTH FILMS LIMITED, followed by a role as an Assistant Trainer at Cincinnati Premier Training. In 2017, they took on a Retail Operations role at the University of Dayton. In 2018, they were hired as a Marketing Associate at the Association of Luxury Suite Directors, and in 2019 they worked as a District Athletic Marketing Director / Assistant Athletic Director at Cincinnati Public Schools, as well as a Server / Bar Tender at O'Bryon's Bar and Grill. In 2022, they began working as a Sales Administrative Assistant at AMEND Consulting and a Testing Secretary at “Turtles All the Way Down” Production.

LJ Proffitt attended the University of Dayton from 2015 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
