Mike Sandy has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, currently serving as Practice Leader at AMC Consultants since 1995, where also holds the role of Director/Principal Geotechnical Engineer. Prior to this, Mike held various positions at Mount Isa Mines from 1987 to 1995, including Planning and Geology Manager, Mining Research Manager, and Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer. Mike's earlier career includes a role as Senior Geologist at ZCCM Mufulira Division from 1978 to 1985 and academic training in Engineering Rock Mechanics, earning an MSc from Imperial College London under Professor Ted Brown in 1986.
