Lorena Gallardo is a highly experienced waste management expert currently serving as a Waste Management Consultant at Ambire Global, supporting the implementation of the Waste Methane Assessment Platform for the Clean Air Task Force in Ecuador. As the Co-Founder and CTO of ReciVeci since 2015, Lorena has been instrumental in promoting inclusive recycling and circular economy initiatives. Lorena has also held various academic positions as a Lecturer at Escuela Politécnica Nacional, focusing on Water Technology and Environmental Sanitation, where project direction and community engagement were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes coordination roles in solid waste management at the Ecuadorian Ministry of the Environment, environmental consulting for sustainability strategies with EcodiverCity, and various positions associated with environmental education and advocacy. Lorena's educational background includes advanced degrees in Environment and Environmental Engineering from prominent institutions, accompanied by specialization in leadership and climate change.
