Thia Chin Tong has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of semiconductor design engineering. Thia is currently serving as the Director of SoC Design Engineering at Ambiq, starting from May 2023. Prior to this, Thia worked at OmniVision Technologies, Inc. where they held the role of Senior Design Manager from July 2018 to May 2023 and Design Manager from September 2016 to June 2018.

Thia also worked at Solomon Systech Limited, where they held the positions of Design Manager from July 2012 to August 2016, Senior IC Design Engineer from August 2008 to June 2012, and IC Design Engineer from October 2004 to July 2008.

Before joining Solomon Systech Limited, Thia worked as an ASIC Design Engineer at Agere Systems from April 2004 to September 2004. Thia also gained industry experience as an intern at Motorola Semiconductors from December 2002 to July 2003.

Thia's work experience spans over a period of two decades, showcasing their expertise and continuous growth in the field of semiconductor design engineering.

Thia Chin Tong studied at Victoria Junior College from 1996 to 1997. Thia then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the National University of Singapore, achieving a First Class Honours between 2000 and 2004.
