Matthew Ulery has held various executive roles in the cybersecurity and information technology industry. Matthew is currently the Chief Product Officer at Ambient Security, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Product Officer at SecureAuth Corporation from June 2019 to September 2022.

From 2012 to 2019, Ulery worked at Micro Focus, where they held the position of Global VP of Product Management - IAM and Security Operations Solutions. In this role, they were responsible for driving security, risk, and governance strategy, as well as profitable revenue growth. Matthew led the transition from disparate company and team cultures to a unified high-performing team following the acquisition of Novell, Authasas, and HPE software solutions.

Before Micro Focus, Ulery worked at NetIQ from 2006 to 2012. Matthew held multiple roles during their tenure, including Director of Product Management and Marketing. Matthew was responsible for leading the security cross-functional team, focusing on profitable growth aligned with EBITDA targets. Matthew also expanded their responsibilities to include product marketing. Prior to that, Ulery served as the Director of Product Management, leading a cross-functional team responsible for security revenue growth.

Ulery's earlier experience includes working at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as the Manager of Product Management, where they supported the company's entry into the substation automation market and led product lifecycle management, business planning, and market analysis.

During their time at Symantec (BindView) from 2000 to 2005, Ulery held the position of Senior Product Manager. Matthew was recruited to reposition and evolve the bv-Control product line into a security and compliance solution, resulting in significant revenue growth and the acquisition of BindView by Symantec.

Ulery began their career at Metso in 1995 as a Program/Development Manager, where they led a team responsible for delivering operational technology and supervisory control and data acquisition solutions to various industries such as oil/gas, water/wastewater, and energy trading firms.

Before Metso, Ulery worked as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin from 1990 to 1995.

Matthew Ulery completed their Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University from 1987 to 1992. Matthew then pursued further studies and obtained an MBA in Management from the Texas McCombs School of Business from 2001 to 2003.
