Bharat is a technologist with experience in Big Data, Analytics right from the early days of the Internet. Bharat built some of the core platform on which Yahoo! runs even today and started their Big Data and Analytics group in 1998, a precursor to technologies like PIG, extra large columnar storage, Hadoop and many of the current day data mining algorithms. He built Yahoo!’s center in India from 2000 and Amazon’s from 2004. He worked on Amazon’s A9 search engine and helped build and launch Ad serving technology intelligence in Yahoo! and Amazon. He was responsible for many of Yahoo!’s lead generation, lead scoring, inventory forecasting, and revenue optimization systems.
