Shekhar Venkat is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software development and team management, currently serving as the Head of Software Development for Alexa's Sr Health Subscription, Accessibility, and Data Privacy & Trust at Amazon since November 2017. With a focus on Generative AI, Shekhar has successfully led programs that achieved 2 million active users and generated $500M in revenue while overseeing a team of over 100 professionals. In previous roles, Shekhar served as a Senior Software Development Manager at Alaska Airlines, developing award-winning loyalty management applications, and as a Software Development Manager at Dow Jones, where oversight of a web and mobile application for The Wall Street Journal was pivotal. Shekhar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation Technology from the University of Madras, graduated in 2003.
