Matthew Schaefer, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with significant experience in the field of mechanical engineering. At AMA Group since August 2012, Matthew progressed through various roles, ultimately serving as Managing Principal, providing leadership and expertise in project management. Prior to that, Matthew worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Robert Derector Associates and gained hands-on experience as a Graduate Assistant at Rutgers University’s Center for Advanced Energy Systems, leading industrial assessments and energy efficiency initiatives. An early role as an intern at Thornton Tomasetti involved assisting in MEP designs and LEED commissioning activities. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
