Ylva Bäckström has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ylva began their career as a Black Belt at Viterra Energy Services in 2002 before moving on to Philips DAP as a Business Excellence Manager in 2004. Ylva then joined Philips Consumer Lifestyle, where they held several roles including Marketing Manager for Floorcare and Garment Care, Marketing Manager for AVM, and Senior Marketing Manager for Health and Wellness. In 2010, Ylva became a Senior Manager Specialist Channels at Philips, focusing on new business development. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Head of Trade Shopper Marketing Team Nordic at Philips. Ylva later joined Luxottica as the Head of Marketing for the Nordic region, managing a portfolio of luxury fashion eyewear brands. Ylva also has experience in the biotech industry, serving as the Head of Marketing and Sales for Cellaviva and NextCell Pharma AB. Most recently, they have been with Alumni, where they started as a Growth Consultant and later assumed the role of Head of Marketing, leading the launch of the new brand. Additionally, Ylva founded F-gruppen, a network for Swedish parents, in 2014.
Ylva Bäckström has a diverse education history. Ylva received their Master of Science degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. In 2005, they obtained a certificate in Marketing from Företagsekonomiska Institutet (FEI). Most recently in 2019, Ylva pursued additional education in Styrelseutbildning (Board Education) and became a Certifierad Styrelseledamot (Certified Board Member) from Alumni.
