Roman Rubio, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in the healthcare and biotechnology industries. Starting in 2003, they worked at Genentech as the Global Head of Ophthalmology for over a decade. In 2014, they joined Avalanche Biotechnologies, Inc. as the Head of Translational Medicine. Two years later, in 2016, they became the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at Revance Therapeutics, Inc. During their time there, they played a key role in the company's clinical development. In 2022, they served as the Principal at Blue Obsidian Consulting, LLC before transitioning to their current position as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development and Translational Medicine at Alumis. Roman's expertise and leadership have greatly contributed to the advancement of clinical research and development in the biotechnology field.
