Sachindra Akalanka is an experienced professional in the field of Safety, Health, and Environment, currently serving as the Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Alumex PLC since July 2019. In this role, Sachindra coordinates and maintains compliance with occupational and property-related standards and procedures, while also developing and implementing inspection policies and conducting routine audits across group companies. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Manager of Safety & Health at Pyramid Wilmar from February 2014 to 2019 and as a Senior Technical Executive at St. Anthony's (Pvt) Ltd from 2012 to 2014. Sachindra holds multiple degrees from the University of Colombo, including a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health, a Master of Science in Disaster Analysis, Mitigation & Management, and an Executive Diploma in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management. Additional qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from City & Guilds - UK and a Diploma in Production & Operation Management from London Business School.
