Mahbubeh (Maya) Mousavi is an Electrical Chemical Research Engineer at AlumaPower Corporation, focusing on optimizing zinc-iodine redox flow battery systems. With a PhD candidacy from the University of Waterloo, Mahbubeh designed efficient electrolytes and membranes, achieving significant cost reductions while meeting U.S. Department of Energy targets. Previous roles include Quality Control Manager and Engineer at Foolad Pich Fakhr, where cost-effective industrial parts were produced for oil projects, and Research Assistant at the University of Tehran, specializing in intermetallic nanomaterials for rechargeable batteries. Teaching experience includes instructing large classes in chemistry and supervising laboratory sessions in materials science and engineering. Mahbubeh holds a Master's degree in Materials Science from the University of Tehran.
