Athena Chavarria is an experienced executive assistant currently providing support to Anthony Lee, General Partner at Altos Ventures, since June 2023. Previously, Athena served as an executive assistant at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative from December 2016 to May 2023, supporting the Chief Investment Officer and other senior leaders. Athena's professional experience includes roles at Facebook, Cowboy Ventures, and The Nueva School, where extensive event planning and management skills were developed. Earlier experience includes supporting a high-profile family and a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, as well as a lengthy career as a flight attendant with Pacific Southwest Airlines/UsAirways. Athena Chavarria holds a high school diploma from Santa Rita High School and attended the University of Arizona from 1977 to 1981.
