LaShonta Gantt is a seasoned professional in community engagement and event management, currently serving as the Community Engagement Director for the City of Altamonte Springs since August 2021. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Catering Sales at Marriott Orlando Downtown, Catering Sales Manager at The Westin Lake Mary, and various management positions in event and catering services at prominent venues such as SMG Worldwide Entertainment & Convention Venue Management, The Peabody Orlando, and Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. LaShonta holds a Master of Arts in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Tuskegee University.
