Ray Operacz

Information Technology Project Manager at AltaMed

Ray Operacz has a diverse work history spanning several industries. RAY'smost recent role was as an Information Technology Project Manager at AltaMed Health Services, starting in December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Manager - Technical Infrastructure at Starlight Children's Foundation from January 2019 to December 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing various IT and support-related activities, including the strategic development and support systems for Starlight's fleet of virtual reality headsets and the rollout of Disney Team of Heroes installations in selected children's hospitals.

From 2012 to 2019, Ray worked as a Project Manager, IT & Clinical Systems at Skilled Wound Care. RAY managed a portfolio of initiatives that supported the technical needs of a multi-state, mobile surgical care practice. RAY'sresponsibilities included leading a diverse team to support the growth of the practice and implementing an Electronic Medical Record system.

Prior to that, Ray worked as a Systems Architect - Medical Products ERP Systems Consolidation at International Rubber Products - Medical from 2007 to 2012. RAY managed projects aimed at consolidating ERP systems and harmonizing the product across all divisions in the US and China.

Ray also has experience as a Business Systems Consultant at St. Luke's Hospital, where they provided coordination and guidance for the selection of a comprehensive EHR system.

Earlier in their career, Ray held positions such as Project Engineer at Rubbercraft, Development Manager at HOMEDICAL INC, Senior Consulting Analyst at Technicolor, and Project Engineer, Deputy Project Manager, and Senior Management Systems Analyst at Boeing.

Throughout their career, Ray has demonstrated their expertise in managing and implementing various IT projects, including the development of software systems, ERP system consolidation, and the implementation of virtual reality and healthcare technologies.

Ray Operacz has completed the Lean Six-Sigma Certification Program at Caltech. Prior to that, Ray obtained a Bachelor's degree in aquatic microbiology and chemistry from UC Irvine.
