Dr. Peter Hudson is a physician and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience founding, growing, and investing in healthcare technology, healthcare services, and digital health. Peteās focus has been on creating efficiencies within the healthcare delivery system and empowering both healthcare consumers and providers with novel delivery models and technology. He has been a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits (to both public and private companies), a former healthcare investment banker with both sell-side and buy-side experience in information technology and healthcare services, and has worked in senior executive roles in both large payer and provider organizations, including Head of Consumer Technologies at Aetna.
Peteās past companies and recent exits include Aspire Health (acquired by Anthem), Maestro Health (acquired by AXA), Ascend Billing (acquired by Intermedix), EMP (recapitalized with Welsh Carson), iTriage (acquired by AET), and nuMedica (acquired by CSLR). He recently served as founding Chairman of the Board of U.S. Acute Care Solutions (USACS), one of the nationās largest acute care companies and a Welsh Carson portfolio company, and is on the board of directors of Dispatch Health, Everside Health, Patients Like Me, Transcarent, USACS, EMP Holdings, and Tivity Health (TVTY).
Pete was on the Science and Technology Advisory Board (STAB) at Childrenās Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network Steering Committee, and the strategic advisory board for Centura Health. Dr. Hudson was the Colorado Technology Associationās Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013 and a guest of the First Lady at the State of the Union in 2013, representing digital health as a national policy objective. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Pre-Med from Colorado College and an M.D. from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
