Tapobrata Bhattacharyya worked for Alpine Bau Deutschland AG from June 2006 to December 2013, holding multiple roles including Head of Accounting & Finance and Commercial Manager (Head of Finance & Accounts). During their time there, they were responsible for setting up a new branch of the company in the UAE and establishing the Finance & Accounts Department. Tapobrata introduced new systems and procedures for managing finance and accounts, as well as for management reporting. Tapobrata also organized internal and external audits.

Prior to that, Bhattacharyya worked as the Chief Finance Officer for Tata Construction & Projects Limited from September 1997 to April 2002.

Tapobrata Bhattacharyya attended South Point High School in Kolkata, India from 1956 to 1966. Tapobrata then enrolled in St. Xavier's College in Kolkata from 1966 to 1969, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Economics.
