Amin Amirlatifi has been working in the oil and gas industry since 2005. Amin started their career as a Software Developer at Auton Engineering in Canada. In 2006, they moved to Research Institute of Petroleum Industry as a Reservoir Engineer - Team Manager. In 2010, they began their PhD at Missouri S&T, where they developed the Coupled Geomechanical Reservoir Simulator (CGRS) package and researched geomechanical influences of CO2 sequestration in shallow reservoirs. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Advantek International Corporation as a Geomechanics Engineer, helping more than fifty IOC's, NOC's and E&P companies dispose of over 1 billion BBL of oilfield fluids. In 2018, they became the Director of Technology Development at AlphaX Decision Sciences, LLC. Since 2016, they have been an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University.
Amin Amirlatifi received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Petroleum Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2013. Amin also obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering - Reservoir Eng from University of Calgary in 2005 and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Petroleum Engineering from Petroleum University of Technology in 2004.
