Leif Harstad has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Leif is currently working as a Technical Lead at AlphaStream.io since February 2020. Prior to that, Leif co-founded Sherlockology Ltd in 2011, where they served as a Digital and Technical Strategist and Lead Developer. During their tenure at Sherlockology, the website won the 2012 Shorty Award for Best Fansite in Social Media and gained worldwide recognition.

Before Sherlockology, Leif worked at MF Global from 2009 to 2011. Leif held two roles during their time there - Lead UX/IA Web Developer of Digital Sales and SharePoint Web Developer. As the Lead UX/IA Web Developer, Leif implemented global digital strategies for the retail section of the financial industry. Leif focused on areas such as IA, UX, visitor intelligence, SEO, and marketing KPIs. Additionally, they developed and consolidated websites for the retail side of the business as a SharePoint Web Developer.

Prior to MF Global, Leif worked at Square Design from 2005 to 2009 as a Lead UX & Web Application Developer. Leif was responsible for the development, design, execution, SEO, SEM, and social strategies for a multi-region e-commerce fashion website. Leif also developed bespoke client applications and websites for clients across various industries.

Leif's career started at NBAT in 2003, where they worked as a Web Developer and Web Applications Developer. Leif designed and developed websites and marketing campaigns for clients in the construction industry. Additionally, they created bespoke agency applications and utilized technologies such as ASP, VBScript, SQL, Access, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Flash.
