Laura Derrick has extensive work experience in the pharmacy field. Laura started their career in 1989 as a Staff Pharmacist at RITE AID and held this role until 1997. Laura then joined Kerr Drug as a Staff Pharmacist for a year before moving to CVS Pharmacy in 1998. At CVS Pharmacy, Laura served as the Pharmacist in Charge from 1998 to 2001 and later as a Staff Pharmacist from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, they joined CVS Health as a Pharmacy Manager and remained in this role until 2019. Most recently, Laura is working at Alphanumeric Systems as a Medical Information Specialist (Pharmacist) since December 2020.

Laura Derrick received their Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, they have obtained certifications in CPR from the American Red Cross and in Immunizations from the American Pharmacists Association.
