Gayatri Wadke-Honrao has work experience in the pharmaceutical and consulting industries. Gayatri started their career at Gennova Bio Pharmaceuticals Limited as a Quality Control Officer from June 2007 to November 2008. Gayatri then joined Tata Consultancy Services in January 2009 as a Drug Safety Specialist until January 2012. From February 2012 to March 2015, they worked as a Quality Control Specialist and Process Trainer at Tata Consultancy Services. Gayatri later became a Team Leader from March 2015 to October 2018 and then a Group Lead from October 2018 to April 2021 at the same company. Currently, Gayatri is working at Alphanumeric Systems as a PV Operations Quality Support Scientist, starting in February 2023.

Gayatri Wadke-Honrao completed their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University between 2001 and 2004. Gayatri then pursued a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology - SMU, graduating between 2004 and 2006. In 2008, they enrolled in Catalyst Clinical Services, where they earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical research, completing it in 2009. Additionally, they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Pharmacovigilance from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 2009.
