Teresa Klimek has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Teresa is currently employed as the Director of Program Content at AlphaBEST Education, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Special Projects Manager at the same company from May 2022 to October 2022.
Before joining AlphaBEST Education, Teresa served as the Capstone Manager - JA BizTown at Junior Achievement of Oregon & SW Washington from October 2021 to May 2022.
In 2021, they also worked for AlphaBEST Education, Inc. as the Summer Camp Program Manager. Their responsibilities included managing the Going Places Summer Camp across eight sites and coordinating with school districts and administrators.
From 2020 to 2021, Teresa worked as a Special Projects and Electives Teacher at Saint John Neumann Catholic High School. Teresa redesigned and taught various courses, implementing COVID-19 protocols.
In their previous role as the Service-Learning Program Manager at Walsh University from 2019 to 2020, Teresa oversaw the Office of Service-Learning, facilitated service-learning courses, and managed a living-learning community.
Prior to this, they served as a Service-Learning Coordinator at Walsh University from 2018 to 2019, where they co-led the Leaders in Social Justice Learning community and facilitated service-learning courses.
Teresa's work experience also includes a role as a Service-Learning Coordinator at North Shore Community College from 2017 to 2018, where they collaborated with faculty to coordinate service-learning projects and managed logistics for student involvement.
Teresa began their career as an AmeriCorps Member at City Year in 2016, bringing the mission of City Year to a K-8 school in Boston and creating lesson plans for small group English Language Arts instruction.
Teresa Klimek completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History/Museum Studies from Walsh University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Teresa later pursued a Master of Education degree in Community Engagement / Higher Education at Merrimack College from 2017 to 2018.
