Rachel T. Patman advises Texas-based and international clients on a wide range of energy and natural resource operational and transactional areas. Focus areas include upstream oil and gas, joint operating agreements, division order title opinions and title research, business development, securities agreements, mineral and wellbore interests, land and lease rights, equipment sales and compliance with governmental entities, including the Texas Railroad Commission, the Texas State Securities Board, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Securities Exchange Commission. She is a member of the American Landman Association, with almost 10 years of hands-on landman experience in both Texas and Oklahoma.
In addition to advising on upstream oil and gas matters, Ms. Patman regularly counsels clients on land and real property matters, including joint surface agreements, surface damages, ownership litigation, contract disputes, sale of mineral estates and matters relating to the management of oil and gas business.
Ms. Patman is a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, Young Professionals in Petroleum, Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, Fort Worth Wildcatters and Tarrant County Young Republicans. She supports the Dallas-based running club Pint Striders and participates in local marathons.
