David Shepperd has a solid background in sourcing within the energy and natural resources industries. David is currently serving as the Director of Sourcing for MID WV UG at Alpha Metallurgical Resources. Prior to that, they held the role of Sourcing Director at Contura Energy for three years. David also worked at Alpha Natural Resources, where they were the Director of Sourcing Support from 2017 to 2018 and a Sourcing Manager from 2011 to 2017.

From 1998 to 2002, David Shepperd attended Mountain State University. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
