Ricardo Gutierrez has a diverse work experience in the petrochemical industry. Ricardo started their career at Bosch as a summer intern, where they tested new catalysts for the automotive industry. Ricardo then interned at CEMEX, analyzing quality control data and updating manuals.

Gutierrez joined Alpek as a Planning Analyst and later a Sr. Analyst, where they valued a significant Petrochemical M&A acquisition. This project led to an invitation to become the youngest manager in the company and join the U.S. subsidiary, DAK AMERICAS LLC.

At DAK Americas, Gutierrez held the role of Manager of Business Development, leading negotiations for a petrochemical complex. Ricardo also served as the Planning Manager for South America at DAK Americas Argentina S.A., where they managed the Petrochemical Re-sales Business Unit and led sustainability efforts with the Argentinean Government.

Gutierrez returned to Alpek as a Global Director of Strategic Planning and M&A, responsible for analyzing and implementing Mergers and Acquisitions. Ricardo later became the Global Director of M&A, Strategic and Financial Planning, where they were also a Board Member of a 3-company Joint Venture.

Their most recent positions include VP Administration of Octal and VP of Middle East at Alpek. In these roles, Gutierrez has been responsible for various strategic and financial planning activities, as well as overseeing the coordination of financial reporting and forecasting for all business units and countries.

Ricardo Gutierrez holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they obtained from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2001 to 2006. Ricardo also had a brief period of study at Hamburg University of Technology in 2004-2005, although no specific degree or field of study information is available for that time.
