Akihiro Sawa is a seasoned regulatory affairs professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since July 2021, Akihiro Sawa manages the TTR franchise and has successfully led marketing approval processes in Japan and Australia as a regional regulatory leader. Previously, Akihiro Sawa held various positions at AstraZeneca, including Japan Regulatory Lead in both Tokyo and Osaka, where significant contributions were made to regulatory activities in multiple therapeutic areas, resulting in four marketing approvals.
