Francesc F. began their work experience as an Engineer at DSP SL in 2007. Francesc then pursued a PhD at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, developing machine learning solutions for LC/MS metabolomic data analysis. Moving on to Takeda, they served as a Senior Scientist focusing on bioinformatic analysis for drug discovery projects. Later, at Boehringer Ingelheim, Francesc held roles ranging from Scientist in bioinformatics to Team Lead Computational Biology and Senior Clinical Bioinformatics Lead. Currently, they are at Almirall as the Senior Director R&D Data Science, building on their extensive experience in data science and bioinformatics roles.

Francesc F. completed a Bachelor's degree in Physics at Universitat de Barcelona in 2001-2007. Francesc then pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2008-2010. Following this, Francesc earned a Master's degree in Pharmacy (Data Processing) at Universitat de Barcelona from 2011-2012. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics/Biomedical Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2011-2014.
